Wonderland Online is a free MMORPG (Massivley Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). It has a cutsey, sort of anime style to it, so some people may not like that. But I like cute stuff, and I think it looks good, so I figured I’d share it with everyone. If you can get past the looks, you may actually find that you enjoy it.

You have your own home (which is actually a tent that you carry around with you everywhere, so it is always accessible). You can fully decorate it and invite people in to see. You can also visit your friends’ homes. On the inside the tent is pretty big, it’s not small like a normal, real world tent. Looks like there’s alot of customization to do to your home.

There’s also a pets system, along with battles, item crafting, and socializing with other players, it’s unlikely you’ll have many dull moments in Wonderland Online.

Details about the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 game Grand Theft Auto IV are starting to leak out. The latest issue of PSM Spain has a new article with details about the game’s multiplayer features. gta4.net has translated some of the article.

Multiplayer will support up to sixteen players and you will be able to customize your character from race, sex, hair, clothing, etc. Configuration of each multiplayer mode can be adjusted by the host (by changing options such as the amount of traffic or what weapons are available).

There are fifteen multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Hangman’s Noose (which will feature co-op play as you and your friends will be escorting a mobster while being pursued by a SWAT team), Turf War, Cops n Crooks, Bomb da Base, Free Mode, GTA Race, and a few others.

Since EA just bought BioWare in January there is a possibility that Mass Effect 2 may make it’s way onto the Playstation 3 and PCs also.

BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood told British Gaming site CVG “I believe we’ll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time. We’re still working out the details on that, but we’ve had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well.”

Mass Effect 2 is the second installment in a planned, three part triliogy.

The first Mass Effect has been hugely popular on the Xbox 360 so far.

On February 28, 2008 Japanese gamers were treated to the first downloadable Hot Shots Golf character from the PS Store. The character’s name is Yukino. She is available for 500 yen, which is approximately U.S. $4.80. That’s an awful lot for one downloadable character. Let’s hope she’s not more than $1.99 over here.

In it’s celebratory statement announcing that the Playstation 3 has sold 1 million units in the U.K., Sony Computer Entertainment UK boss Ray Maguire let this little tidbit slip: “Our momentum will continue with the introduction of in-game communication in the summer, firmware update 2.4.”

SCEA Product Development Director John Hight has revealed to Gamesutra that a streamlined interface for the Playstations 3’s PS Store is coming soon. “Simplification, cutting down on the number of clicks, making it easier to find stuff that you want to find. That’s the kind of outgrowth of us having more content now, so we have to make sure that you can get to it easily.”

The new interface is set to hit PS Stores in April.

The upcoming, free-roaming, gang game Saints Row 2 is looking like it may just have enough to pull some people away from the upcoming game Grand Theft Auto 4.

This preview will focus on the customizations you will be able to do in Saints Row 2 to your character and your crib (that’s your house, for all those who aren’t “in” on street talk).

At the end of the original Saints Row your character was blown up on a boat and though they survived, they were badly damaged cosmetically. So in the new game you start in a doctor’s office reshaping your character’s every look.

Not only can you completely shape your character’s outward appearance, but you can also change some of their personality traits that will actually make a difference in the way your character walks and performs different actions in-game. You can change their taunts, from things like The Dumper or Vomit. You can change the style of the way they walk by choosing from different stances. You can change their compliments from simple things like a salute to more over-the-top things like a dance. You also get to choose your character’s combat style.

You can upgrade your home with stuff such as nicer electronics among other things.

Saints Row 2 is published by THQ and developed by Volition. It doesn’t have an official release date yet but is slated to hit store shelves sometime in 2008 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

I was a little concerned when i found out that Dante wasn’t the main character of Devil May Cry 4. However i’m happy to say there’s nothing to worry about, the new kid Nero is simply awesome.

His demonic arm adds alot to the classic combo driven combat of DMC. With it you can pull enemies to you or in the case of larger enemies you to them. This cuts down on the time it takes to get to your next opponent insuring you always have something in range to kill. It can also be used for grab maneuvers to inflict big damage. After about 15 minutes with Nero i never wanted to be without it again.

For the second half of the game control switches to Dante but after playing as Nero Dante feels slow and outdated. He does get a sizable arsenal of weapons to make up for it though. All of Dante’s weapons and fighting styles can easily be selected without the need to enter a pause screen by using the triggers and D Pad.

The only thing i didn’t like unfortunately affects the whole second half of the game and that’s backtracking. After fighting all the way through all the areas in the game as Nero you have to do it all again in reverse as Dante. You even fight the same boss battles only backwards. Which makes a total of three times as you fight them all again at the end.

Overall: 8.0 out of 10
Despite all this i really enjoyed it. The combat is fast and lots of fun, well worth multiple play throughs.

Sony has just announced at Destination PlayStation which is a retailers only conference for Sony products that a new Playstation 3 bundle is heading our way soon. The bundle will include an 80GB PS3, a Dual Shock 3 controller (those are the new ones with the rumble feature), and the game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

The bundle is set to release sometime during Q2 2008 for $499.
