Rescue Party Facebook Game Guide

Rescue Party Basics:

Coins and Gems:

Coins are the basic currency in Rescue Party. You get them in many different ways, from rescuing animals on planets, as gifts from your pets, or by clicking bonuses that your Facebook friends post. Gems are a rarer currency, the easiest way to get them being purchasing them with real money. But if you don’t want to spend real money then don’t worry. You’ll just need to save them up and Rescue Party doesn’t make that too hard so long as you have a little patience. Here are some easy tips to increase your gems without buying them:

  • Log in each day for seven days in a row and collect your Magic Bell House daily bonus. On the seventh day you will get 3 gems.
  • Level up. You get one gem each time you reach a new level.
  • You also start out with gems when you start playing the game so use them wisely or keep them to save up towards a better item from the store.

You can use gems to buy special items from the store, for upgrading your pets’ houses, or for extra energy. If you’re not purchasing gems you probably want to save up for a special item in the store rather than using them on energy or building houses because they are rare and energy or building materials can both be gifted.

Missions: For a guide to Rescue Party missions see our Rescue Party Quests Guide (coming soon).

 Taking care of your animals:

When you scroll over an animal an information screen will appear giving you detailed information about the animal, its happiness level, what the animal is currently thinking, and their comfort, food, safety, play, energy and social meters, along with their species name and characteristics.

Rescue Party Animal Information

Raising each of the meters:

  • Comfort can be raised by having a house for that species in your garden, buying more decorations (you can see how much comfort each item will give on the store’s screen), or by having shelters in your garden which can be bought from the store.
  • Food goes down over time and animals will eat at a food item to replenish their hunger when it gets low (if you have a food item). If you don’t have one you’ll need to buy one at the store.
  • Safety will be low if there are evil weevils in your garden. Whack them to make your pets safe again.
  • To raise their play you can either buy a play item from the store or you can click on a pet and choose the ball option to play with them.
  • Pets will regain energy on their own when they sleep.
  • Social can be raised by clicking on an animal and then clicking on another animal and choosing one of the options such as chat, flirt, or hang out. The animals will then play with each other raising both of their social meters.

Symbols above your pets’ heads:

A red heart symbol means your animal wants to be petted. You can “pet” an animal by clicking on them when they have a heart symbol above them and they will gain happiness. It does not take energy to pet them and you will get 5 experience each time you pet them. When their happiness reaches 100 they will have presents for you. It takes one energy when you click on them when they have presents but you will get items, some basic ones like coins, but some rare items like building materials or food. After you get the present their happiness meter will be back at zero. It usually reaches 100 about once in a 24 hour period.

 Rescue Party Symbols

A food symbol means your animal is hungry. You can’t feed them directly so you will need to purchase a food item from the store.

A ball symbol means they want to play. You can click them and then select the ball symbol from that menu or you can buy a toy from the store for them.

A sleep symbol means they want to sleep. You don’t have to do anything about this as they will sleep anywhere (usually next to their species’ house if they have one), but you can purchase a shelter item from the store also.

A symbol with two small people means your pet wants to socialize. Click on them and then click another pet and have them do one the actions with that animal.

A crazed symbol above your pets means there are evil weevils in your village. Whack all the evil weevils (this will cost one energy each) to make the symbol go away and make your pets happy.

Rescuing new animals:

When you travel to planets you will drop food which will attract various creatures depending on the food and planet. When you drop the food four various things may happen. Either an animal will come and eat it and will be beamed up into your ships cargo, an animal that is too high a tier will eat it and run away, an evil weevil will try to steal it (in which case you should be quick and whack it costing one energy), an animal may come but run back for various resons (you can see their reason above their head before they leave), or the food will simply run away (which happens randomly) and you’ll need to drop another one.

If the animal is beamed into your ships cargo, good! In your ships cargo you can see various information by scrolling over the rescued animal.

Rescue Party

  • The name of the creature followed by a star with a number in it. The number is the animals tier. You will have a harder time catching animals that are of a higher tier than your ships tier.
  • Below the name is a description of the animal. These are just for fun but are a great addition to the game.
  • The red arrow above the animals means to release them in which case you will let them go and not get the bonuses for rescuing them.
  • Size is either average, large or small. You get bonuses for rescuing fat or miniature animals and if you rescue your biggest or smallest of that species you will see a message on the side of the screen stating you just got a new size record.
  • Reward is how much coins you will get for rescuing that animal when you return back to your planet.
  • Status is the species recovering status. All creatures start out at zero and endangered. When you rescue five of the same species you will unlock a video and the statues will change to At Risk. The status’s are: endangered (0-4 rescued), at risk (5-14 rescued), recovering (15-29 rescued),
  • The three circles below the animal mean different things. The 1st circle means that the rescued animal is a new discovery. The 2nd circle means the animal is a sepcial size. The 3rd circle means that a rescue milestone was reached for that species (such as at risk or recovering). It will be a different color depending on the status reached.
  • And most importantly if there is a red heart next to the circles that means the animal wants to live with you!

Adopting new animals:

Now that you have an animal that wants to stay with you you’ll need to adopt it. All animals that want to stay with you will wait outside the right side fence of your planet. You can click on them and select the magnifying glass to see various information about them including baits eaten and any videos you have unlocked for them (unlock videos by reaching rescue milestones). Scrolling over them will display their name. You cannot change their names so getting one with a name you like is important and may take a few tries. (You can always accept animals with names you don’t like and release them later to make room for new animals.)

Rescue Party New Animals

Note that if you already have four animals waiting outside your garden then any new pets that you rescue will not be able to stay with you even if they have the heart symbol when you rescue them. Instead, when you return you will be told you don’t have any room for that animal and asked if you’d like to find it a home (by posting to your Facebook wall). So if you don’t really want any of the animals waiting make sure you make some room by releasing them so if you rescue an animal you do want you’ll be able to keep it.

If you want to move them into your village and you have room select the dogtag option. If you don’t want them select the release option. If you select nothing they will wait outside your village for a few days but will eventually leave. You can see how long they will still wait by a small white box underneath them.

We’re working on a list of all animals that can be found at each planet, check back soon for that!

Animal houses:

If you already have an animal of the same species you will need to build a species house if you haven’t already. That will allow you to move in two of the same species. If you want three of the same species you will need to upgrade the house to the third tier.

To complete each house for the first time you will need various building materials that you can get by requesting to your Facebook wall feed, through daily gifts from friends, or if you’re lucky from presents from your animals. Some houses may also require orbs which can be found by visiting neighbors and clicking on their Magic Bell House daily. You can of course also purchase the materials right away using gems. The third tier of a house requires more of each item plus a certain amount coins (2,000 coins for most houses).

Rescue Party Constructing Animal Houses

The Refinery:

The refinery is a building that can help you take common rescources and make them into rarer building materials. It costs 500 coins to buy and 5 each of basic cloth, softwood, sparkle ore, moonrock and quartz crystal to build it. You need to be level 4 in order to buy the refinery.

Increasing your total animal capacity:

At the start you will only be able to have 5 animals on your planet. You can increase this by buying a larger planet with either coins or gems. To expand your garden either select the “Expand” option at the top of the screen below your animal capacity meter or go to the store’s upgrades section.

Expanding will also make your planet bigger so you’ll have more room to put stuff.

Crops:

You will need to plant crops so you can have food to rescue animals with. At first you can plant 6 crops at a time. You can upgrade your planting spots by purchasing a garden plot upgrade. Each plot upgrade costs 20 gems for one extra plot space.

Rescue Party Food

Different types of crops will be unlocked for planting as you level up.

  • Bad Apple (level 1)
  • Meatball (level 1)
  • Swiss Bliss (level 3)
  • Weeping Onion (level 4)
  • Hammy (level 6)
  • Flour Power (level 7)
  • Sweety Corn (level 8)
  • Crispy Bacon (level 9)
  • Iced Cream (level 11)
  • Carrot Teen (level 12)
  • Chicken Nugget (level 13)
  • Chocolate Drop (level 14)
  • Stonecold Lettuce (level 16)
  • Fish Fillet (level 17)
  • Butta (level 18)
  • Country Tomato (level 19)
  • T-Bone Steak (level 21)
  • Whipped Cream (level 22)
  • Potato Spud (level 23)
  • Tuna (level 24)

When you plant them you can choose how long until they will be ready which will also affect how many each will produce. Don’t forget about them as they will wither if you wait too long to harvest them after they are ready!

The Cooking Pot:

You need spices and food to cook the special foods that are the only way to rescue the rarest animals in Rescue Party. You can only cook a few recipies at first so you will also need to upgrade your cooking pot to higher levels by upgrading with building materials. To start cooking you’ll need to have 1 each of basic cloth, softwood, sparkle ore, moonrock and quartz crystal to finish the construction of the cooking pot you start out with.

Special foods are marked by a rainbow star with an S in it. They can be cooked in the cooking pot or found if you’re lucky.

Cooking better foods:

You can buy a spice grinder to help you make special foods in the cooking pot. It costs 500 coins to buy. The spice grinder will turn stardust into any spice you need. Each recipie will cost 5 stardust to convert into 2 spices. You can get stardust from presents or gifted to you. The spice grinder will also need to be upgraded to make higher level spices. You need to be level 4 in order to buy the spice grinder or to buy a second cooking pot.

Spices:

The only way to get spices is to get them as presents from your animals or to make them in the spice ginder. You may also get some when you whack evil weevils.

Your ship:

Increasing your ships tier:

If you’re having trouble rescuing animals because they keep running away you may need to increase your ships tier. To do so you will need to purchase a tier upgrade from the store.

Upgrading your ships cargo capacity:

At first you will only be able to rescue four creatures at a time. You can increase your ships cargo space so you can rescue more animals per trip.

You can change the way your ship looks which is purely aesthetic by purchasing a new appearance from the store. Your ships cargo and tier upgrades will remain intact if you change the appearance of your ship.

Planets:

To travel to a planet select “Go Rescue Animals!” at the bottom of the screen. You can now choose a planet to visit. Each planet will take a different amount of energy to travel to so take that into consideration if you’re low on energy. At first you can only visit Blossom and Organia.  By scrolling over planets you can see the recommended ship tier and pictures of all the species you have rescued on that planet.

Unlocking new planets to travel to:

To unlock new planets to travel to you will need to purchase that planet’s star map. To purchase it click on the planet.

Gaining Experience:

There are many ways to gain experience in Rescue Party. The easiest way is to go out and rescue animals. You will gain experience every time you drop a food, when the food runs away (which food may sometimes runs away, this is random and there’s nothing you can do about it but you will get 1 experience each time), and when you rescue animals. Getting size bonuses, new discoveries, etc. will net you more experience. You will also get a big coin and experience bonus when you return home.

You’ll gain experience when you harvest crops. Petting your animals will gain 5 experience each. You get experience when visit your neighbors and help rid their planets of evil weevils or fertilize their crops. You also gain experience when you purchase new items in the store. You can see how much each item will give by the XP listed under each item. Whacking evil weevils at your planet or while you’re out rescuing animals gives experience. Completing quests also gives you an experience bonus.

Magic Bell House Bonuses:

Rescue Party Magic Bell House

Your Magic Bell House can be clicked once every 24 hours to gain bonuses from it. Logging in consecutively without skipping days and collecting the bonus will make you get better rewards. The bonuses are:

  • Day 1: 50 coins
  • Day 2: 100 coins
  • Day 3: 3 random common resources
  • Day 4: 2 uncommon resources
  • Day 5: 3 uncommon resources
  • Day 6: 1 rare resource
  • Day 7: 3 gems

Once you’ve reached day 7 it will reset and you will start at day 1 again.

You can visit your friends and collect from their Magic Bell Houses daily too. You will usually get orbs, but you can sometimes get very rare items such as Unobtanium which is used in upgrades of key buildings and is very hard to find so don’t give up visiting your neighbors daily even if you get orbs 99% of the time.

Orbs:

Orbs are most easily found by clicking your neighbors Magic Bell House daily but can also be dropped as a present from your animals. The five types of orbs are fire, aqua, forest, temptest, and shadow.

Rescue Party Achievements:

There are 10 different types of achievements in Rescue Party and 5 tiers for each one. You can check your progress towards each one by going to the stamp book and choosing achievements.

Neighbor Collector: Recruit 2 neighbors to earn the bronze medal.
Shake Your Moneymaker: Earn 5,000 coins to earn the bronze medal.
High Roller: Spend 3,000 coins to earn the bronze medal.
Wholesale Rescuer: Rescue 25 total creatures to earn the bronze medal.
Diverse Rescuer: Rescue creatures from 10 different species to earn the bronze medal.
Big Game Hunter: Rescue 5 enormous creatures to earn the bronze medal.
Tiny Trapper: Rescue 5 miniature creatures to earn the bronze medal.
Craft Master: Craft 5 items in your crafting pots to earn the bronze medal.
Green Thumb: Harvest 10 plants from your garden to earn the bronze medal.
Brown Thumb: Neglect 10 plants and let them die to earn the bronze medal.

Neighbors and Friends:

You can visit neighbors daily. Each daily visit will give you extra energy and coins. If they have an evil weevil problem you can help them (at no cost of energy to yourself) and get +5 coins and 10 experience. You can also fertilize their crops for extra experience and to help them out as fertilized crops give more food.

As stated above also collect the daily bonus from their Magic Bell House.

Other than that you can send daily gifts to them and hope to get one in return, along with posting bonuses to your Facebook wall and clicking on any that they may have posted. Bonuses are usually coins, rare items, or sometimes a lost animal that needs a home.
