Details about the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 game Grand Theft Auto IV are starting to leak out. The latest issue of PSM Spain has a new article with details about the game’s multiplayer features. gta4.net has translated some of the article.
Multiplayer will support up to sixteen players and you will be able to customize your character from race, sex, hair, clothing, etc. Configuration of each multiplayer mode can be adjusted by the host (by changing options such as the amount of traffic or what weapons are available).
There are fifteen multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Hangman’s Noose (which will feature co-op play as you and your friends will be escorting a mobster while being pursued by a SWAT team), Turf War, Cops n Crooks, Bomb da Base, Free Mode, GTA Race, and a few others.
